York & Chapel has just launched Eastern’s redesigned website and a brand new mobile site. The refreshed design better reflected an innovative company with a global reach that has enjoyed explosive growth. We considered numerous design and programming possibilities for the project.
Visually, Y&C took bold steps with the website design. We introduced a fresh take on the color palette, adding a vibrant, green, orange and yellow to the company’s current blue and gold colors. We also took advantage of images from a photo shoot we held at Eastern’s call center. The images of life at Eastern further elevate the site’s personality and reinforce its credibility in the industry.
In addition, Y&C pushed the envelope with functionality. We programmed the site to scale proportionally, and added browser-specific orientation. Users can adjust the page without affecting the site’s look – no matter the screen size (computer or mobile). Additionally, the home page brings viewers front and center to a slide show highlighting the company’s three value-adds. The slides also run on the mobile version, even linking to other pages within the site.
